So what if I'm a trashpicker!!!

What a lovely weekend I've had!

Friday I got home from work and Shelly and I had dinner, then I went to the gym. I came home and finsihed unpacking my room! It's DONE. Well 99.9% done. There are still a few things I'd like to rearrange and change... but for now my room is clean, unpacked and totally liveable. Party time!

Yesterday morning we got up around 9ish and started a fantastic day. We had breakfast and then ventured off to the foodstore. Came home and got ready for the H-town crowd to come visit.

However... on the way to the foodstore I noticed a lovely couch. Just sitting there. By the dumpster. I flagged shell down (I was actually throwing some boxes in the dumpster and she was getting the car), and told her it was in good condition. No stains, didn't smell, wasn't beat up. The cushions were right there with it. We decided it would be PERFECT in our living room (as we only had a love seat). And even more perfect that our 3 friends were going to be arriving later in the day to help carry it up to our apartment.

We got back from the food store, and the couch was still there. Thank goodness. We unloaded the groceries and I decided we should grab the cushions -- because no one would take a couch without the cushions. So we went down to get them... and they were gone. Before they had been sitting nicely on the couch. Now they were just gone. I peeked in the dumpster... and there was a cushion. Sitting perfectly on top. But where was the second? Why would someone throw out one and not the other? Just then Michelle noticed the second cushion... thrown in the recycling dumpster. We didn't care... this couch was ours. I couldn't quite reach the one in the dumpster, but luckily Shell got it from another angle. Then she grabbed the one from the recycleables. And we were off like bandits with our cushions!

When everyone else arrived they were amazing and basically carried it in for us!!! As we were bringing it in... a woman walked by, laughed, and goes "That's so funny! That was my couch!" She was really nice and told us to enjoy it. Too bad she was walking her DOG! Her very sheddy DOG. There was some cleaning to be done from the hairy dog... but other than that... we have a perfectly good couch. It's fantastic!

We then had some lunch, went to the park and played with Bizzle, came home from some angel food cake, strawberries and cool whip (compliments of ashy), relaxed and chatted for a bit... then hit up the Olive Gardne for dinner!

What a great day it was!!!

And now I'm at Aunt Jans doing laundry, using the internet, and eventually watching some TV. It's rather nice :)

Hope everyone else had as good a weekend as I did!!!
